The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended names of 13 Advocates

SC Collegium Recommends Appointment of 13 New Judges to Allahabad High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended names of 13 Advocates for appointment as judges of Allahabad High Court.

The decision was made in a meeting of the Collegium held on August 24.

The 13 lawyers recommended are:

1. Shri Chandra Kumar Rai

2. Shri Shishir Jain

3. Shri Krishan Pahal

4. Shri Sameer Jain

5. Shri Ashutosh Srivastava

6. Shri Subhash Vidyarthi

7. Shri Brij Raj Singh

8. Shri Shree Prakash Singh

9. Shri Vikas Budhwar

10. Shri Vikram D Chauhan

11. Shri Rishad Murtaza

12. Dhruv Mathur

13. Vimlendu Tripathi

Adding to this the Collegium has reiterated the names of three judicial officers for appointment as judges of Allahabad High Court.

1. Shri Om Prakash Tripathi

2. Shri Umesh Chandra Sharma

3. Shri Syed Waiz Mian

Allahabad High Court currently has 92 judges against its sanctioned strength of 160, a vacancy position of 68.
