SC Collegium Recommends Appointment of 8 New Judges to Kerala High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the names of four Advocates and four Judicial Officers for appointment as judges of Kerala High Court.

The decision was taken in a Collegium meeting held on September 1, 2021.

The 4 Advocates recommended are:

1. Shoba Annamma Eapen

2. Sanjeetha Kalloor Arakkal

3. Basant Balaji

4. Aravinda Kumar Babu Thavarakkattil.

The 4 judicial officers recommended are:

1. C Jayachandran

2. Sophy Thomas

3. PG Ajithkumar

4. CS Sudha

Kerala High Court is functioning with 10 vacancies. It currently has 37 judges against its sanctioned strength of 47.
