The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the names of two Advocates and four Judicial Officers and for appointment as judges of the Calcutta High Court.

The Advocates recommended are:

1. Krishna Rao

2. Koyeli Bhattacharyya

The Judicial Officers recommended are:

1. Shampa Dutt (Paul)

2. Bibhas Ranjan De

3. Siddhartha Roy Chowdhury

4. Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee

Also, the Collegium has reiterated 4 names for the Judges of the Calcutta High Court.

The High Court is currently functioning at half its strength, with 36 vacancies as against 72 sanctioned posts.
