A notice listing the names of the appointed first-aiders must be displayed in the workplace.

First-Aid Room (Section 6): Workplaces with more than 500 employees must provide and maintain a first-aid room of a standard approved by the Commissioner.

First-Aid for Exposure to Toxic or Corrosive Substances (Section 7): Where employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive substances, the employer must make provision for emergency treatment and ensure that suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body are provided and properly maintained.

Offences (Section 8): Failure to comply with the regulations can result in the employer being guilty of an offence, with penalties of up to a $20,000 fine and/or 2 years' imprisonment. Repeat offenders face higher penalties of up to $50,000 and/or 2 years' imprisonment.
