NEWS: Mumbai Magistrate orders registration of FIR against Kangana Ranaut

Metropolitan Magistrate JY Ghule, Mumbai ordered Police inspector Bandra, to take cognizance of the offences committed by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel over allegation based on the comments made upon electronic media.

In a plea before the magistrate by Munnawarali Sayyed, sought direction from the court to theBandra Police to register a complaint against Kangana and her sister Rangoli for committing offences punishable under sections 153A, 295A , 124A read with 34 of Indian Penal Code.

The plea alleged that Kangana was putting up objectionable comments on twitter handle and making abrupt statements in the interviews against the film industry and also statements against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the Maharashtra Government agencies.

Therefore court ordered:

“……thorough investigation is necessary by the expert. All offences alleged and leveled against the accused are cognizable. Search and seizure is necessary in this case. In such circumstances, I found it is proper to pass an order under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Hence proceedings be sent towards the concerned police station for necessary action and investigation.”
