Aryan Khan, son of Shahrukh Khan arrested under NDPS Act

In a raid conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Cordelia Cruise Empress ship, on an ongoing rave party.

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, has been arrested for offences under various provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act) for the sale and possession of various drugs.

Aryan Khan and 7 others were detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for interrogation after drugs were found on the ship.

The NCB has seized 13 grams of cocaine (intermediate quantity), 5 grams of MD (mephedrone) (intermediate quantity), 21 grams of charas (small quantity), 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy) (intermediate quantity) and Rs 1,33,000 at International Cruise Terminal, Mumbai.

The counsel for NCB has sought custody of the accused for merely two days for investigation. As the accused are booked for bailable offences. All accused have given voluntary statements under section 67 of the NDPS Act.

The accused are booked for consumption sale and purchase of banned drugs under section 8(c) read with sections 20b(possesses, sells, purchases, transports, imports inter-State, exports inter-State or uses cannabis), 35 (Presumption of culpable mental state), 27 (Punishment for consumption of any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance) of NDPS Act.
