Lawyer shot dead in Uttar Pradesh Shahjahanpur district court

Bhupendra Pratap Singh, a 60-years-old lawyer was shot dead inside the Shahjahanpur district court complex in Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place today around 11:30 AM. The killed lawyer was a resident of the Jallabad district.

The Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur asserted that “it appears the man was alone. No other person was seen around him at the time of the incident. The forensic team is at work…circumstances around killing is unclear.”

In 2019, Uttar Pradesh state government counsel, Nutan Yadav was shot dead at her official residence in Etah.

The same year, Darvesh Yadav, the first woman president of the Agra Bar Council, was shot dead inside her chamber in Agra court.

Also, the recent incident of the shoot out at the Rohini district court complex in Delhi wherein assailants dressed as lawyers shot dead gangster Jitender Gogi.
